Tracie Holder | Masterclass | 2013
Tracie Holder is an award-winning American film producer, and consultant to the Women Make Movies’ Production Assistance Program. She recently completed the feature documentary Joe Papp in Five Acts (2010), a co-production with PBS/American Masters and ITVS. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and has gone on to screen at more than 30 film festivals worldwide.
In this masterclass Holder tells us about the business side of documentary filmmaking; proposal writing, contracts and negotiation, legal agreements, funders’ language, and legal public information. She also tells us about post production and distribution, including; advertising, building the audience, and engagement campaigns.
