Paul Watson | Masterclass | 2008
Paul Watson is an English documentary filmmaker. His notable projects include The Fishing Party (1985) which casts a satirical eye on a group of fishermen from the City, and Sylvania Waters (1992), a docu-soap set in Sydney which made a star of Noeline Baker and sparked a fierce debate regarding British Prejudices. His more recent works include Malcolm and Barbara: Love’s Farewell (2007), and Rain in my Heart (2006). Watson won a BAFTA for A Year in the Life in 1970 and the Alan Clarke Award in 2008.
We are delighted to welcome Watson to the SDI this year. He gives invaluable advice on filming techniques, and tips on; how to get inside your character’s heart, be creative with your practice, find moments of truth, and much more…
