Daniel Roher’s films have taken him to every corner of the globe. His feature documentary debut, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band was the opening night film at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. His follow-up, NAVALNY, had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film has earned Oscar and BAFTA nominations for Best Documentary Feature, a PGA nomination for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures, and Roher has been nominated by the DGA for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary. The film has won the following: Critics Choice Award for Best Political Documentary; Cinema Eye Honors Award Audience Choice; and Sundance Film Festival Awards for Festival Favorite and Audience Award: U.S. Documentary.
