Mark Cousins | Masterclass | 2012
Irish director Mark Cousins is most known for his prolific 15 one-hour chapter documentary The Story of Film: An Odyssey broadcast on More4 and featured at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Other films include What is this Film Called Love? (2012), A Story of Children and Film (2013) and Here be Dragons (2013).
In this masterclass, Cousins gives insight into how he structured What is this Film Called Love? explores the use of narration, and tells us the importance of really looking at the subject. Cousins also discusses the power of the aftermath of documentary film.
