The Asian community is hugely sensitive to skin colour. Skin lightening has become big business. Brother and sister, Abdul and Nurjahan, have built a lucrative internet business producing and selling skin lightening serum, but will their first visit to a major Asian lifestyle exhibition bring them the national expansion they seek ?
British Asians from all walks of life want to lighten their skins for many different reasons, but the community is divided about the rights and wrongs of changing such a central part of who you are … your skin colour. An eye-opening observational documentary on the world of Asian skin lightening.
