Synopsis
Never Mind Walnut Street is Marta Dyczkowska’s heartfelt letter to her dear friend, walking him through the changes in the city they once shared. From her kitchen window at Walnut Street, Marta was once centered in the heart of a community that accepted her with open arms and introduced her to the home-from-home she had been searching for since leaving Poland. After the loss of her close friend and former neighbour Colin McQuillan, Marta found her life changing drastically around her. Priced out from the home and neighbourhood that connected her to her newfound punk family, Marta and her boys now look at Belfast from the opposite side of the river.
Never Mind Walnut Street pays tribute to the punks and city that once shaped Marta’s life, as the very fabric of her landscape changes around her, mirroring her own emotional journey of loss and change.
