Sid – Iboga Nights
Iboga Nights (a followup to David’s earlier film, Detox or Die) explores the effectiveness of the psychedelic plant root ibogaine, which has been hailed as a “quick fix route to painless withdrawal.” The film has just premiered at Glasgow Film Festival.
David is a controversial Glasgow-based documentary filmmaker and inspirational public speaker on addiction issues. His highly authored films are unique visions of the world he inhabits and the offbeat characters he encounters.
He has experience in directing, pitching new ideas, researching and camera operation. He is also a trained film archivist and a university graduate in Film Theory/Art History. His films have frequently been aired across the BBC.
