Becoming Animal Let Loose

After a wonderful reception to their World Premiere in March at CPH:Dox, with Modern Times Review calling it “[a] magnificent documentary about the natural origins of what we consider to be man-made and the connection between man and nature” and Observer critic Simran Hans tweeting that she was “extremely into” it, Emma Davie and Peter Mettler’s subversive new nature doc is headed to DocumentaMadrid, Docs Against Gravity and Bildrausch Filmfest Basel.

The film is In Competition at all the festivals and is also nominated for the Green Warsaw Award at Docs Against Gravity.

DocumentaMadrid is run by Madrid City Council and takes place in venues across the Spanish capital. Both screenings of Becoming Animal will be taking place in the festival’s headquarters in Cineteca.

Docs Against Gravity runs throughout May in various towns and cities in Poland, bringing the best in documentary-making to the people!

Bildrausch Filmfest Basel, held in Basel, Switzerland, runs from the 30 May to 3 June and Becoming Animal will screen in the main Cutting Edge competition programme alongside 11 other carefully selected features.
