Bridging the Gap is Scotland’s flagship short documentary film scheme for new talent and every year, the initiative provides training and mentorship as well as an £8k budget to get your film made.
For this new season (the 13th!), SDI team will hit the road this September, hosting workshops across Scotland to help filmmakers prepare their submissions.
The workshops will explain the aims of the scheme, will provide tips on how to improve your chances of being selected and will offer you a chance to pitch your short documentary idea informally and receive feedback. They are free and open to filmmakers at any level. But places are limited so make sure to RSVP in advance!
